King’s College London is inviting Indian students to apply for the prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Awards. The award offers a £10,000 (around ₹11.26 lakh) fee waiver for postgraduate studies, with a focus on projects that aim to create a positive societal impact.
Professor Shitij Kapur, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, expressed his pride in offering these scholarships. As an academic of Indian origin who moved from Delhi to study abroad, he understands the importance of international education.
Kapur also highlighted the university’s long-standing connection with India, pointing out that freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu was one of King’s early female alumni in the 19th century.
“King’s was one of the first UK universities to teach Sanskrit and Bengali, and Sarojini Naidu was one of our remarkable students from the early days when women were first admitted,” Kapur said.
