Passengers travelling to the UK from a Green Travel List country are required to undergo nucleic acid testing within 72 hours of their arrival in the UK and the day after their scheduled arrival in the UK, but are not required to self-quarantine;

(There is no need for mandatory hotel quarantine when entering the UK after transit from domestic destinations.) Currently, mainland China and Macau of China are listed in the AMBER LIST. The Amber List entry policy of the UK has changed the quarantine requirements for international travellers from the ‘AMBER LIST COUNTRIES’ (including China) from July 19.
People who have had two NHS-approved COVID-19 vaccinations for more than 14 days will not be allowed to quarantine themselves for 10 days after entering the country.
A nucleic acid test is required only within the first two days after entry.
Currently, the vaccines mentioned in the new entry rules are limited to those administered by the NHS (Oxford-Astrazeneca, Pfizer, Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson).
Of course, Chinese students are allowed to enter the UK even if they have not received the vaccines required by the NHS. After entering the UK, they are required to self-quarantine for 10 days and undergo nucleic acid testing on the second and eighth days.
Before entry: 1. Test for COVID-19 and get negative results within 72 hours before departure (both in Chinese and English) 72-hour nucleic acid test report: Prepare a 72-hour nucleic acid test report in China, either in paper or electronic form.
* Note: The British government states that the test report must be the original test report in English, French or Spanish, and the translation of the test report in other languages is invalid.
2. Make an appointment in advance and pay for the 2nd and 8th days of COVID-19 testing. Travelers are required to purchase two COVID-19 testing kits before departure and have them tested on the 2nd and 8th days of home quarantine.
After payment, it is recommended to print out the reservation confirmation letter with reference number and take it with you. You may be asked to check it for boarding, transfer and landing.
3. Complete and carry a passenger locator form indicating the location of the test once you arrive in the UK, as well as the booking reference number for the test kit.
