Namibia is set to introduce a visa – on – arrival policy starting April 1, 2025. This is for international investors and tourists. The aim is to make entry procedures simpler, cut down on red tape, and become a top place for business and holiday – makers.
Nangula Uaandja, the CEO of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, said this in the capital, Windhoek. She called the policy a big strategic change in how the country engages globally and works on economic development. By following international best practices, Namibia wants to be more competitive than its regional neighbors with stricter visa rules.
Namibia, a southern African country rich in minerals, is also trying to be a leader in green hydrogen production. It uses renewable energy to make this sustainable fuel. At the same time, it is working on developing its oil and gas resources, which will make it more attractive to global investors.
With its huge landscapes, lots of different wildlife, and adventure tourism options, Namibia is likely to draw in both business and leisure travelers. This will strengthen its role as a regional center. By making entry restrictions easier, Namibia is taking a brave step to boost economic growth and improve its image as a place friendly to investment.
