Spain has become a very popular place for digital nomads. It offers a “digital nomad” visa. This visa lets freelancers and remote workers live and work in the country.
Many countries, like Spain, have introduced “digital nomad” visas for these kinds of people. They provide high – speed internet, good tax policies, and other perks to freelancers.
What is a Digital Nomad Visa?
Digital nomad visas give temporary residency in a foreign country to remote workers. But they must meet a certain minimum income requirement. These visas aren’t for people looking for jobs or students who want to study abroad. You have to show that you work remotely and have a steady income. This income should be enough to support you without taking jobs away from local people. To get this visa, applicants need to meet some conditions, including having a minimum monthly income.
As of March 2025, digital nomads applying for a Spain visa need a minimum monthly income of $2,750. This money is supposed to cover their stay in Spain. If digital nomads want to bring their families to Spain, the minimum monthly income they need goes up to $3,750.
