William V. S. Tubman University (TU) has announced the expansion of its international partnership with Morningside University (MU) in Sioux City, Iowa. As part of this strengthened collaboration, two additional scholarships will be available for TU students to study at MU starting in August 2025.
This announcement follows a recent visit by TU President Dr. Olu Q. Menjay to MU, where he received official confirmation of the new scholarships from MU President Dr. Albert Mosley. The new scholarships build on the success of TU students who have previously studied at Morningside, including Oliver B. Newton and Tetee Shine King, who enrolled in 2024. Newton was recognized for his academic achievement by earning a spot on the Dean’s List.
Dr. Mosley expressed MU’s commitment to global education, saying, “This initiative not only provides TU students with a transformative learning experience, but it also enriches our campus community through cultural exchange and diverse perspectives.”
Dr. Menjay highlighted the importance of international exposure for TU students, adding, “These opportunities are vital for their academic and professional development. We greatly appreciate Morningside University’s support of our students.”
The collaboration between TU and MU is based on a long-standing relationship between Drs. Menjay and Mosley, who first met as graduate students at Duke University in 1995. Their shared vision for global engagement in higher education continues to provide valuable opportunities for students at both institutions.
Tubman University extends its gratitude to Morningside University for its ongoing support and looks forward to further strengthening the partnership in the future.
