There have been some important changes to make consular visa application processes easier. Here are the key changes:
Business Visas
Before, business visa applicants had to give things like medical certificates, degree certificates, CVs, flight and hotel bookings, and proof of their own financial ability. Now, they don’t need to do that. Instead, they must show proof of the host company’s financial health. This could be something like a bank certification. So, the responsibility for providing certain documents has moved from the individual applicant to the sponsoring company.
Business Visa for Employment Purposes
Previously, applicants for this type of business visa had to submit medical certificates and proof of their own financial standing. Now, they don’t need to. Just like with regular business visas, they now have to show the host company’s financial stability. Also, there’s a change regarding police clearance certificates. Before, these certificates had to be issued within six months of the application. Now, they are valid if issued within the last 12 months at the time of application. This gives applicants more time to get this document ready.
Dependent Visa
Good news for dependent visa applicants. They no longer have to submit medical certificates. This cuts down on the administrative work they need to do.
There’s one more change that applies to all these visas. The support or guarantee letter, which can be issued by the company or the applicant depending on the situation, now has a set validity of six months. Before, there was no specific rule about how long these letters were good for.
