Loughborough University is offering four Sanctuary PhD Scholarships for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic years. Two scholarships are available for each year, supporting both full-time and part-time postgraduate research students.
The scholarships cover 100% of tuition fees and provide a stipend of £19,237 per year for up to three years. However, the university does not cover travel or visa expenses, and applicants are expected to fund these costs themselves.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Sanctuary PhD Scholarships, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have an offer to study for a PhD at Loughborough University.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance.
The university notes that if applicants are currently outside the UK and wish to study part-time, they will not be eligible for a student visa sponsorship. For those in the UK, part-time applicants must not be in full-time employment. Only individuals with part-time work, caring responsibilities, or other similar situations will be considered for a part-time scholarship.
How to Apply
Interested applicants should submit their applications after receiving an offer to study at Loughborough University. Upon submission, they will receive a confirmation email. Candidates will be notified by email whether they have been selected for the scholarship.
Shortlisted applicants will undergo further review, with final decisions made by a selection panel. The university emphasizes that applications will only be considered if the applicant has already received a study offer at the time of submission.
