The University of Strathclyde has announced the Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarship to celebrate the 850th anniversary of the city of Glasgow. The scholarship is available to students enrolling in the Strathclyde Business School’s MSc programs starting in September 2025.
Applications for the scholarship must be submitted by July 31, 2025. The scholarship helps cover tuition fees, with awards ranging from £6,000 to £8,000, depending on the course.
There is no separate application process for the scholarship. Candidates who have received an offer for an MSc program will automatically be considered. Selection will be based on the overall quality of the program application. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis, starting at the end of January 2025, and applicants will be notified within a week of receiving their program offer.
Eligibility Criteria for Glasgow 850 International Masters Scholarship
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be self-funded and not receiving any other scholarships.
- Hold an offer for an MSc program at Strathclyde Business School for the September 2025 intake.
- Only one scholarship per academic year is allowed at the University of Strathclyde.
- The scholarship is not available for blended or online program students.
Eligible subjects include Entrepreneurship, Economics, Business, Accounting & Finance, Human Resource Management, Hospitality & Tourism, Management Science, Management, and Marketing.
University of Strathclyde Hosts ‘Growing the Space Economy’ Event
Experts from Ireland and Scotland gathered at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology & Innovation Centre for the “Growing the Space Economy” event. During the event, the University of Strathclyde and University College Dublin (UCD) signed a partnership agreement to collaborate on space-related research and activities.
Professor Kate Robson Brown, UCD’s Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Impact, and Professor Stephen McArthur, Associate Principal and Executive Dean of Engineering at Strathclyde, signed the agreement.
Professor McArthur emphasized Scotland’s role in growing a strong space industry through collaboration, saying, “Scotland is a prime example of how partnership can grow a strong space industry and space research. We are proud to contribute to the growth of Scotland’s vibrant space sector.”
Professor Robson Brown added, “Scotland provides a great example of how to develop the space sector, bringing vast economic and societal benefits. This partnership with Strathclyde will strengthen our research, innovation, and education programs, helping build talent pipelines for the sector’s future.”
