In particular, schools want to see how students overcome difficulties and succeed in putting their ideas into practice.
Due to the limited time of the teacher for material review, no video or interactive works (websites) should be provided. The electronic version should be saved in pdf format, and the file should not be too large, usually about 20mb, which should be adjusted according to the specific requirements of the school.
Portfolios, including sketchbooks, are usually bound in white paper. Do not use heavy paper jams.
4. Making typesetting: using software to design works is easier to deal with, directly store JPEG format.
However, for 3D works such as easel paintings, sculptures, installations, architectural models, clothing and jewelry, the original work cannot be submitted in the application, and the standard must not be lowered because the original work cannot be displayed.
So make sure you take the best pictures.
If your personal photography skills are limited, be sure to hire a professional photographer to assist you.
In addition to the lack of experience in typesetting, it is best to ask graphic design professionals to assist.
5. Submission methods: There are several different ways to submit the UK portfolio. Undergraduate applications are mainly submitted through UCAS or directly to the university by post, and postgraduate applications are submitted through the university application website.
When you mail it, burn it to a CD/DVD or USB flash drive. Usually, attach a work description with the applicant’s name and application number. Do not glue it directly to the CD.
