McDaniel College has received a $10,000 donation from CampusWorks, a higher education partner, to support an endowed scholarship through the McDaniel Women’s Leadership Network. This scholarship is awarded annually to an incoming first-year student who has demonstrated leadership potential through academic, athletic, or community service achievements.
Selected from the admissions applicant pool, students do not need to apply separately for the scholarship, which is renewable for all four years of study.
Liz Murphy, CEO and chairman of the board for CampusWorks, has also made a personal donation to establish a new experiential and emergency use fund. This fund, also managed through the McDaniel Women’s Leadership Network, provides grants to current McDaniel students facing financial barriers that might prevent them from pursuing opportunities such as undergraduate research, internships, study abroad, and obtaining licensures or certifications.
McDaniel College President Julia Jasken leads the advisory council for the McDaniel Women’s Leadership Network, a group of women leaders dedicated to supporting women in achieving their personal and professional goals. The network, comprised of alumni and friends of McDaniel College, focuses on building connections and developing programs to engage women in the college community. It is guided by four pillars: mentorship, community, career, and philanthropy.
Since 1999, CampusWorks has partnered with colleges and universities to develop and implement strategies that improve institutional effectiveness and enhance the student experience.
