The Bay Building Industries Association (BBIA) is proud to present the Bay Building Industries Association Scholarship Home of 2024 as a highlighted feature in this year’s annual Parade of Homes, commencing Thursday. This esteemed event aims to showcase the exemplary craftsmanship and community involvement inherent in the construction industry while generating proceeds dedicated to scholarships for students across the Panhandle, ranging from Haney Technical Center to Florida State University and Gulf Coast State College.
The 2024 Parade of Homes marks a historic moment as it unveils the first-ever BBIA Scholarship Home constructed under the direction of a female contractor. Angi Dean, the contractor and proprietor of Southern Belle Construction, spearheaded the creation of a 1,230-square-foot residence that harmonizes affordability with uncompromising quality.
Dean expressed her commitment to crafting a home that not only boasts enticing features but also remains within an accessible budget, acknowledging the importance of nurturing a workforce capable of sustaining the community’s growth. She emphasized her pride in contributing to the Scholarship Home project and partnering with BBIA, led by Marty Williams, in their shared dedication to philanthropy and community support.
The BBIA Scholarship Home, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom abode, is listed at an asking price of $349,000. The Parade of Homes festivities kick off on Thursday, June 6th, at noon and will continue through Sunday, June 9th. Interested attendees can explore the Scholarship Home’s captivating features firsthand at its location: 1835 McKenzie Rd, Southport, FL 32409.
