Graduating seniors in Marquette, Michigan, had a memorable evening at Marquette Senior High School’s gymnasium as they were honored with scholarships for their dedication and achievements. Sponsored by the Marquette Area Public Schools Education Foundation, the event celebrated the accomplishments of 117 students who received a collective total of approximately $130,000 in scholarships.
Linda Winslow, President of the MAPS Education Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the diverse array of scholarships made possible through the foundation’s efforts, alongside contributions from the Community Foundation of Marquette County, Marquette County service clubs, local businesses, and community members. She highlighted the inclusive nature of these scholarships, which cater to various educational pursuits, from vocational training to attending universities both within and beyond Michigan.
“The scholarship criteria have been written by the donors,” Winslow elaborated, emphasizing the wide-ranging opportunities available to graduating seniors. “It is open to anyone and everyone who is a graduating senior.”
The MAPS Education Foundation takes pride in its role in sponsoring this significant event and remains optimistic about the future prospects of the students it supports.
