Applicants who want to study in Australia must prepare their passports carefully and confirm that they have complete documents so that they can go abroad smoothly.

1. The Application Form should be one copy of the completed Ordinary Passport Application Form for Chinese Citizens.
Note: You can download the application form from the Exit and Entry website of the provincial Public Security Department, or you can get and fill it out at the registration hall.
2. Photo Submit a recent headless color photo, the size of which is generally 48mmX33mm.
Note: It is recommended to take the certificate photo in the on-site photo studio in the certificate handling hall, lest the photo format does not meet the standard.
3. The original and photocopy of ID card and household register should be submitted for identification.
During the period of obtaining, changing and replacement of resident identity cards, temporary resident identity cards, household register and copies may be submitted.
4. The units advise the state staff (registration and filing personnel) to submit the certificate of consent to exit the country issued by their work units or superior competent units after approval in accordance with the authority of personnel management.
Servicemen in active service shall apply to the Exit and Entry Administration department of public security at or above the county level in the garrison of their respective units after completing the application for approval in accordance with the administrative authority.
5. A citizen under the age of 16 shall be accompanied by his/her guardian, who shall submit his/her opinion on leaving China, his/her resident ID card or household register, passport and a copy.
(1) Passport annotation: Submit relevant proof materials and valid passport for the changes and annotations to be made;
(2) Passport renewal: submit the original passport and its copy;
(3) Passport replacement: the damaged certificate and the reason for the damage should be submitted;
Lost or stolen submit a statement of loss or theft;
(4) Expedited passport: submit expedited documents.
7. The above are the general materials required by all regions. Due to policy differences, other materials will be required by all regions.
1. Prepare materials (1) Two 2-inch front-face, bareheaded color photos.

(3) Non-military cadets in military academies must also submit certificates of non-military status issued by their institutions.
(4) If a soldier carries his military identity card (or retirement certificate) and the original copy of the Examination and Approval Document for Personnel Going Abroad for Private Affairs of the army, the army he/she belongs to shall issue his/her opinions and seal on the Approval Form for Chinese Citizens’ Application for Going Abroad for Private Affairs, and the person in charge shall sign his/her name for confirmation.
(5) Personnel who must present the opinions of the unit.
Any state functionary who applies for a private passport for the registration and filing shall issue opinions on the Approval Form for Chinese Citizens’ Application for Going Abroad for Private Purposes, and the person in charge shall sign and affecte the official seal.
2. Fill in the Application Form Take the above materials to the Exit and Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau where the household registration is located to fill in the Approval Form of Chinese Citizens’ Application for Going Abroad for Private Purposes, photocopy relevant certification materials, and take photos (dark clothes are required).
Note: THE Approval FORM OF Chinese CITIZENS ‘APPLICATION for GOING ABROAD for PRIVATE PURPOSES CAN also be downloaded, printed and filled in from the website of the Exit and Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Bureau.
3. Submit the application. Submit the completed application form with photos and the required materials to the acceptance window. After being reviewed by the staff, get the “Application Receipt for Private Overseas (China) Certificate”, check the contents of the receipt and sign it.
4. After submitting the application, the applicant shall immediately pay the fee at the collection office with the Receipt of the Application for the Overseas Travel Certificate for Private Purposes (the applicant shall pay the fee on the day of acceptance).
If payment is not made within the time limit, the date of collection will be notified separately.
If the fee is not paid within one month after the application, the application will be deemed to be abandoned automatically and the application materials will not be returned to the applicant).
