As we all know, there is a time limit for applying for graduate and undergraduate degrees in the United States.
If you apply over time, you cannot apply.
Here is a small series for you to introduce the application time and planning of the United States, I hope to help you!
1. The deadline for application.
Each school usually sets a separate application deadline.
As a result, the deadlines for different majors can vary, even at the same American university.
This is very different from undergraduate applications in the United States.
In general, arts have relatively early deadlines, including majors in film, directing, graphic design, music, art, and more.
Many schools end in early December or even early November.
One is a fixed deadline called rollingapplication.
Most non-business majors take this form.
Business schools like to go off the beaten path and use the roundapplication.
The school will set multiple deadlines, and applicants can choose a time to deliver.
As for the top schools, the first round ends in early November.
The deadline for applications is November.
The earliest deadline for college in the United States is around November.
For example, the deadline for applications to the University of Washington in Seattle is November 1, the deadline for Yale’s LLM (Master of Laws) program is November 16, and the deadline for Ohio State’s Mechanical Engineering program is November 16.
The deadline for majors such as comparative literature is November 3.
Students applying to these schools and majors should be aware of the deadlines.
However, there are not many colleges and majors in November, with deadlines clustered in December and January.
2. Application deadline: December to January.
December, deadline for MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Columbia Stanford, Princeton, Columbia please.
While the deadlines for these super schools vary, they are generally in the December range.
In addition, some universities with slightly lower rankings also have their ace majors due in December.
In general, the universities with the December deadline are usually super prestigious universities or prestigious majors from ordinary universities.
Since these schools and majors are ideal choices for most students, these colleges will be very busy with applications in December.
Meanwhile, December also has the biggest Christmas holiday in the United States.
To avoid holidays, Chinese students should send all materials to school at least a week before Christmas.
There are also many famous universities, including Northwestern University, Cornell University, the University of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, Washington University in St. Louis and other top 30 universities.
The deadline is Jan. 4 for international relations at the University of Chicago, Jan. 10 for information systems management at Carnegie Mellon, and Jan. 15 for interior design at Cornell and George Washington Universities.
Tuition and fees: $10,000 -$30,000 Undergraduate study fees in the United States are calculated for one academic year, approximately 9 months from September to May.
Some universities also offer summer courses (June – August).
Some universities charge a flat fee, while others charge according to hours or majors.
Each school charges different fees for international students.
Miscellaneous expenses include: general medical insurance $300-$1,500, student activities $100-$300.
Meals and Housing: An average of $5,000 Some schools require students to live in dormitories, at least for the first year.
There are also some schools where students can go on day trips.
Day students save more money than resident students, but they have to pay more for transportation.
The school set meal is the regular food provided in the school canteen.
It is important to find out if bedding (comforter, pillow, blanket) and basic dorm services are included in the rate.
If you live on campus during the summer, you need to add three months to your budget for room and board.
Books and Necessities: An average of $500 Schools estimate the cost of books and necessities per academic year for undergraduate study in the United States.
If you plan to study in a field that requires specialized necessities, such as mechanics, design, art, or film, you will spend more than normal.
Transportation: AN AVERAGE OF $600 SCHOOL transportation budgets usually do not INCLUDE INTERNATIONAL travel between the United States and China, so this SECTION of the round trip will have to BE added.
If you plan to switch from residential to day school, you have to pay for local transportation.
Personal costs: $1,000 on average These include basic necessities, services, activities such as doing laundry, going to the movies, and playing sports.
Health insurance should also be included.
If you have dependents or special medical needs, the cost of living in the United States will increase significantly.
