Universidade de Macau/University of Macau (UM) is a public, international and comprehensive research university located in Macau, China.
1. If the applicant is a fresh undergraduate, he/she can apply for all courses except the MBA degree program (which requires three years of full-time work experience).
2. Applicants for master’s degree programs must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent accredited by the University of Macau, and other knowledge or professional experience may also be required;
3. Successful students will be offered provisional admission only, and will be offered formal admission after they have achieved the qualification of bachelor’s degree and the total score has met the requirements of the relevant school;
4, the applicant’s bachelor’s degree graduation average is equal to *C+ or above (except law school courses);
5. Applicants must have the language proficiency required by the program;
Note: A C+ is equivalent to 2.3 points on a 4-point GPA, 14 points on a 20-point GPA or 70 points on a 100-point GPA.
The tuition fee for a master’s degree program is paid in four or six installments. The normal duration of study is three years and the normal duration of study is two years. The tuition fee is paid in six installments.

Compared with universities in Hong Kong, the tuition fee of the University of Macau is relatively low. The tuition fee for two years is generally only 60,000 to 80,000 patacas (except for special courses), and the living expenses are also relatively low compared with those in Hong Kong.
2. The University of Macau has a wide variety of scholarships and offers a large number of scholarships, while generally there are no scholarships for lecture-oriented postgraduate students in Hong Kong universities.
3. The University of Macau will be relocated to Hengqin Campus in September 2013. All postgraduate students will be provided with dormitories at low cost.
The campus will be 20 times the size of the existing campus, fully equipped, and will be managed under the college system. Postgraduate students can also apply for college style accommodation if they wish.
4. The postgraduate degree of the University of Macau is a two-year research program and requires the completion of the graduation thesis, so the diploma will be relatively highly recognized.
Application Process and Time Application Procedures Applicants must log in to the online registration system and submit the online application form during the registration period.
Applicants are required to complete the application form in accordance with the guidelines on the website. For courses taught in English, applicants are required to complete the other sections of the application form in English except their personal particulars (contact address in the Mainland must be filled in Chinese).
Applicants MUST HAVE A valid EMAIL address TO set UP an ACCOUNT. Upon successful account opening, you will receive an email confirming the “REFERENCE NUMBER” (format: 100XXXXXX) and “PASSWORD” of your online account.
The applicant is required to keep the account information securely for login to the online registration system.
Applicants must complete all parts of the online application form.
As THE SCHOOL WILL SEND THE LATEST ADMISSION INFORMATION TO THE APPLICANTS VIA EMAIL AND SMS, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO FILL IN A FIXED MOBILE PHONE NUMBER.
All required documents should be scanned and uploaded to the registration system.
All files must be in A4 “PDF format with a maximum size of 6MB.
Required documents including id card copy of registered permanent residence book copies photos of attended course certificate and transcript is now pursuing undergraduate/bachelor’s degree in the last years of the applicant shall submit the transcripts of the latest each application are required to submit two recommendation table references after fill in the online recommendation form to upload the file, the applicant shall submit application form after confirm all of the information given.
Applicants are required to pay the application fee within the registration period. If the applicant provides academic documents in languages other than Chinese, English or Portuguese, he/she must submit his/her graduation Certificate/academic certificate and transcript issued by the relevant university/institution in English. He/she may also submit an English translation. Notarized English translation is preferred.
