Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority has decided to extend the validity of visas held by foreigners in the country until 8 February 2024.
In announcing the news, the Population and Immigration Authority said that the decision was made in light of the current situation in Israel. The same stressed that the extension will apply to valid visas that expire in the next three months, reports VisaGuide.World.
This means that the validity of certain visa types will be officially extended until February next year. After this period, the visa extension process will continue as usual, unless there is a need for an automatic extension.
The Israeli authorities have clarified that the three-month extension will not apply to the B/1 work visa.
However, the extension will apply to all other visas, including immigration visas, B/2 temporary visitor visas and long-term A visas, such as A/2 student visas and A/4 spouse and child visas, among others.
The authorities also stated that all foreigners currently residing abroad who require a visa to enter Israel must apply for the document at the relevant consulate.
Those who require a visa to enter Israel must submit several documents. Israel requires all visa applicants to submit a fully completed visa application form, two passport-sized photographs, a valid passport, older passports, a birth certificate and a flight booking confirmation.
Applicants are also required to submit a number of other documents relating to their journey and the type of visa they are applying for.
