As the world shrinks and opportunities expand, more and more young Bangladeshis are seeking higher education abroad, driven by the pursuit of knowledge and the desire to broaden their horizons. In the heart of Chattogram, Bangladeshi youth found themselves on a path to global education and unparalleled exposure at the 8th International Education Expo 2023. This was recently held at the Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View.
Various education agencies providing student visa related services to the students participated in the programme. Correspondents from different universities and their English learning clubs attended the expo to promote their respective institutions.
The expo was open from 10am to 6pm and visitors enjoyed the free and accessible entrance. The visitors got the opportunity to get the information of their preferred countries where they want to pursue their higher studies from different agencies.
Kazi Md. Abdur Rahman, CEO of Kazi Immigration & Education said, “Our agency has been successfully providing student visa related services to students since 1992. We are delighted to be participating in the Expo. Students who want to pursue higher studies from abroad will be able to get the information they need by coming to this expo. I believe this kind of expo will play a good role in the education sector.
Jahidul Islam Morad, a representative of Kazi Immigration & Education, said, “I have realised that the number of students who want to go abroad for higher studies is huge and all they want is a good medium to make their dream come true. With a motive to help them, I helped many of them with their queries at this expo and it was indeed a really great learning experience for me as well”. Md Mayen Uddin, Marketing Executive, City University, Malaysia said, “I work as a representative of City University, Malaysia. How a student can get into this university and related information is provided at our stall. We have a branch in Dhaka where we provide the necessary information for admission to City University, Malaysia”.
Rafi Ahmed attended the event as a representative of Kazi Immigration & Education. He said, “We basically provide services related to student visas, which are provided by our agency. Now students are interested in studying abroad. I think this kind of expo will be helpful for them in this regard”.
The event was an excellent networking opportunity for both students and educational institutions. Students were able to interact with university representatives and learn about different scholarship programmes and courses. Similarly, universities and educational institutions were able to interact with potential students and better understand their needs and preferences.
By providing a platform where students could interact directly with representatives from educational institutions and visa service agencies, the fair empowered them to make informed decisions about their higher education. Access to accurate and detailed information is crucial when making decisions about international education, and the Expo facilitated this process.
